    1

Put the buds in pairing mode

    ~21s
Open the Galaxy Buds case. The buds will automatically enter pairing mode the first time they are out of the case. The small indicator light on the case will blink to show they are ready to pair. If they have been used before and are not pairing, press and hold the touchpad on each bud for about 5 seconds until the light blinks.
    2

Connect on a Samsung Galaxy phone (automatic)

    ~25s
If you have a Samsung Galaxy phone, a pop-up notification should appear on your screen when you open the case nearby. Tap Connect or Pair. The buds will connect within seconds. If the pop-up does not appear, proceed to the Bluetooth settings step below.

    Quick Tip

Make sure Bluetooth is turned on your phone before opening the case. You can check by swiping down from the top of the screen to see the quick-settings panel.

    3

Connect on a non-Samsung Android phone (Bluetooth settings)

    ~17s
Open your phone's Settings app. Tap Connected Devices or Bluetooth. Make sure Bluetooth is turned on, then tap Pair New Device or Scan. Your Galaxy Buds should appear in the list with their name (for example, "Galaxy Buds2 Pro"). Tap the name to pair them.
    4

    Download the Galaxy Wearable app

    ~21s
Open the Google Play Store app on your phone and search for "Galaxy Wearable." Download and install the free app from Samsung Electronics. Open the app — it will detect your paired buds automatically and show you a dashboard with battery levels and settings.

    Quick Tip

On Samsung phones, Galaxy Wearable may already be installed. Look for it in your app drawer before downloading.

    5

    Customize your settings

    ~23s
Inside Galaxy Wearable, tap on your buds' name to open settings. You can adjust the Equalizer (sound profile), change what Touch Controls do (like skipping tracks or activating your voice assistant), and toggle Active Noise Canceling on or off. Explore each section — changes take effect immediately on the buds.

    Warning

Noise cancellation uses extra battery power. If you want maximum battery life, turn it off when you do not need it.

Samsung Galaxy Buds are wireless earbuds that work with Android phones — especially Samsung Galaxy phones. They connect via Bluetooth and offer features like noise cancellation, touch controls, and sound customization through a free app called Galaxy Wearable.

If you have a Samsung Galaxy phone, the pairing process is especially smooth. When you open the Galaxy Buds case near your phone for the first time, a pop-up will appear on your screen offering to connect them automatically. You tap Connect and you are done. No menus to navigate, no Bluetooth settings to find.

If you have a non-Samsung Android phone — like a Google Pixel or a Motorola — the process takes a couple more steps, but it is still straightforward. You will pair them through your phone's Bluetooth settings the same way you would any Bluetooth device.

After pairing, the Galaxy Wearable app (free on the Google Play Store) lets you customize how the buds work. You can change what the touch controls do, adjust the sound with an equalizer, turn noise cancellation on or off, and check the battery level for each bud and the case separately.

Galaxy Buds models vary slightly — Galaxy Buds2, Buds2 Pro, Buds3, and Buds3 Pro all have somewhat different features — but the setup process is the same for all of them. The Galaxy Wearable app will detect which model you have and show you the settings available for that specific model.

A fully charged set of Galaxy Buds typically lasts 5 to 7 hours on one charge, with the case providing additional charges. The case charges via USB-C and some models support wireless charging.
