How to Order Food with Uber Eats

Get restaurant food delivered to your door using the Uber Eats app.

Download and set up

Download Uber Eats from the App Store or Google Play. Create an account with your email and phone number. Add your delivery address and a payment method (credit card, debit card, or PayPal).

Browse restaurants

The home screen shows restaurants near you. You can filter by cuisine type, delivery time, price, and rating. Tap a restaurant to see their menu. Look at the delivery fee and estimated delivery time at the top.

Quick Tip

Sort by "Top Rated" to find the best restaurants. Orders from places with 4.5+ stars and 100+ ratings are usually reliable.

Place your order

Tap items to add them to your cart. Customize options if available (size, toppings, special requests). When ready, tap "View Cart" at the bottom. Review your order, check the total (including delivery fee and service fee), and tap "Place Order."

Track your delivery

After ordering, the app shows real-time tracking: your order being prepared, your driver picking it up, and the driver driving to your location on a map. You will get a notification when the driver is nearby.

Rate and tip

After delivery, the app asks you to rate the restaurant and driver. A tip is not required but is appreciated — drivers rely on tips. You can adjust the tip amount after delivery if the service was especially good or bad.
