How to Set Up a GrandPad Tablet

Order the GrandPad

Go to grandpad.net or call 800-704-9412. Pick a subscription and the color. A family member is usually set as the "Care Circle Leader" — they get admin access through their own free app.

Turn it on and sign in

GrandPads arrive already set up. Press the power button on top. The tablet walks the user through a quick tutorial — how to tap a button and scroll a list.

Add family members

The Care Circle Leader opens the Companion App on their phone and invites other family members by email. Only Care Circle members can call, message, or share photos with the GrandPad.

Make a video call

On the GrandPad, tap Video Chat. All Care Circle members appear as big buttons with their photo. Tap any person to ring their phone or computer.

Share photos from anywhere

In the Companion App, a family member taps "Share Photos" and picks any photos from their phone. The photos appear immediately on the GrandPad under "Photos." This is the most-loved feature for grandparents.
