Download Marco Polo

Search for "Marco Polo" in the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play (Android) and download the free app.

Create an account

Open the app and enter your phone number. Marco Polo will send a verification code by text — enter it to confirm your number. Add your first name and a profile photo to help friends recognize you.

Add a contact

Tap the "+" or "New" button to add a contact. You can search by phone number or name from your contacts. If the person already has Marco Polo, they will appear. If not, you can invite them by text message.

Record and send a video

Tap a contact's name to open the conversation. Press and hold the large camera button to record your video message — speak naturally as if you were talking to them in person. Release the button when you are done and it sends automatically.

Watch and reply to videos

When a friend sends you a video, you will get a notification. Open the app and tap their name to watch it. Press the camera button to record your reply. Videos stay in the conversation so you can rewatch them, and you can see whether the other person has watched your message.
