    How to Make Text Bigger on iPhone

    Struggling to read small text on your iPhone? Increase the font size in seconds from Settings.

    In this guide (5 steps):

    3. 3.Enable even larger text sizes

    Open Settings and go to Display & Brightness

    Open the Settings app (the grey gear icon). Scroll down and tap "Display & Brightness." Then tap "Text Size." You will see a slider at the bottom of the screen.

    Drag the slider to make text bigger

    Drag the slider to the right to increase the text size. As you drag, the preview text above the slider will grow larger so you can see exactly what it will look like. When you are happy with the size, press the back arrow or close Settings — the change takes effect immediately.

    Enable even larger text sizes

    If the regular slider does not go big enough, go to Settings > Accessibility > Display & Text Size > Larger Text. Turn on "Larger Accessibility Sizes." This unlocks a much larger range — drag the new slider all the way to the right for maximum size.

    Make text bold

    Go to Settings > Display & Brightness and turn on "Bold Text." Bold text is much easier to read for many people, especially in dim lighting. This works alongside any text size you have chosen.

    Zoom in on any part of the screen

    For extra help reading specific things, turn on Zoom. Go to Settings > Accessibility > Zoom and turn it on. Then double-tap the screen with three fingers to zoom in on anything — a menu, a small label, or a phone number.

    Quick Tip

    You can also pinch and spread two fingers in Safari to zoom in on any webpage, even without turning on Zoom in Settings.
